Pairs

This one flew off the end of my brush today-a great deal of fun in a short period of time.

An original 8 x 8 inch, expressive, colorist, still life painting done in a contemporary style with professional grade acrylic paint . As an under painting, the surface was textured with the remaining acrylic paints left from a previous day's painting session.  Some of the colors may show through adding more interest.

Lemons on Pink

It's been a while since my last post; lately I have again been going through a slump-nothing I've done has pleased me.  This little one I did at the today finally had the element of fun and spontaneity that I want.

An original, 7 x 5 inch, expressive, colorist, still life painting done in a contemporary style with professional grade acrylic paint . As an under painting, the surface was textured with the remaining acrylic paints left from a previous day's painting session.  Some of the colors may show through adding more interest.   This particular painting was done on 300 lb. watercolor paper.  It has been finished with a satin acrylic varnish.

This painting is being sold with or without a matt. The cost for matt and backing, ready for framing is $40; without a matt, the cost is $25.  Let  me know what your preference is via email.

Pomegranets and Lemons

A still life of colorful fruit on a red rimmed platter.

As with all my paintings, a final coat of semi-gloss acrylic varnish is applied to give further enhancement and protection.

This painting was also in my recent show.  It comes either framed in a black plein air style frame for $150 or unframed for $100.00.  Please contact me and let me know your preference.  The painting also has been finished with an acrylic satin varnish for additional enhancement and protection.

Avocado and Lemons

I'm back in the studio or at least I was today.  Hubby is mending from the back surgery and that frees me up some.

The avocado seed "lost" its dark outer peel to reveal its creamy under skin.

Thanks for looking.

Egg Plants and Lemons

Combining eggplants with lemons is probably an odd combination but I wanted to do a painting with a split complimentary color scheme.  It was great fun to paint it and it was so good to be in the studio again. My time in the studio will be intermittent as Hubby will be having surgery but I will grab what ever time I can find.

Thanks for looking.

Mixed Fruit 4

This morning, I'm standing in my studio, asking myself what should I paint?  What should I paint? So I grabbed what was handy and I have another painting of mixed fruit.  Thanks for looking.

Artichoke with Lemons

It's been a week since I've a chance to paint but that doesn't mean I haven't been in the studio.  Instead, I have been working on a new way to present my paintings that have been painted on hardboard without a frame.  My art buddies liked it so I may use the method. But it was great to play with paint today. Thanks for looking.

Lemons

Before I used the lemon for tonight's fish dinner, I had to paint it, of course.  The painting has been varnished for additional enhancement and protection.

Perhaps Some Lemonaid Later?

This 6x9 acrylic is painted on gessoed,. 300# watercolor paper and comes matted and ready for a 9x12 frame.  The painting has been varnished.

The broken foot continues to slow me down but with this painting I saw that I could manage to paint and to keep the weight off the foot.

You may wonder where is painting #1-well, its a larger piece and I haven't photographed it.  Also, I haven't posted recently because I haven't felt that the paintings I've done are quite where I want them yet.

This 8x8 inch acrylic is painted on hardboard and has been varnished. $40 plus $10 S&H.

The Bright Green Plate

It's been awhile since I've posted.  I've been working on some larger pieces and also taking care of the things that have to be done like taxes. Now that that is done, I'm back to the studio where I belong.  Hope you enjoy this 8 x 8 Acrylic on hardboard.  Thanks for looking.
