Hardy Mums

These mums were from potted ones that I planted last year.   Pots of mums are available everywhere for purchase in the fall.  I made sure they were the hardy variety and now the plants are huge and full of blooms.  Wonder what color should I choose for this fall?

Mason Jar Flowers

This painting came about in two ways.  The flowers in a mason jar, table top and background came from a photo that I took while eating at a very nice cafĂ© called Ike and Jane's.  I felt it needed something to balance it to the left and my imagination added the plate and apple.

Sunflowers on the Blue Chest

I met with the "art girls" last night and they approved this experiment with my working toward abstraction.  I will post another that they agreed with me, needed to be pushed further.  Thanks for looking.

I am now able to walk on the broken foot but only with a boot but that feels wonderful.

Back to Back Sunflowers

I want to work on pushing my artwork to a more stylized, abstract rendering.  I also want to do this with flowers and so you will be seeing a few paintings of sunflowers done until I am more satisfied.  Thanks for looking.

White Handle Bowl with Clementines

You may wonder why I paint so many clementines. It's simple, since we like to eat them while they are in season, we always seem to have them available.
