Just a Few

I finally had a chance to get into the studio.  I got just a few pieces of fruit and set up this quick still life.  Thanks for looking.

Life is really intruding into my painting time.  This blog is being typed with one hand.  I fell and cracked a bone in my left hand which is luckily my non-dominant hand so I am able to paint.

Apples with a Small Pitcher

We had a very good Christmas which was spent with my husband's extended family but I'm always glad to get back into the studio.

This painting started from four apples in a set up but quickly became an imaginary one which freed me up to play in the paints more.  That to me is where the fun (and sometimes the frustration) comes in.

This 8x10 acrylic is painted on canvas on hardboard panel and is varnished with a satin finish acrylic varnish.

Sunflowers and Apples #2

This is a more stylized rendition of yesterday's painting.  It has been varnished for additional protection and enhancement.

Sunflowers and Apples - #1

This painting is from a photo of some very large sunflowers that a friend sent to me; I, in turn, place them in a tablescape.  I am working on learning how I want to paint various flowers.  So, for now, I will be working on the sunflower.

A 5x7 inch acrylic on 300 lb. watercolor paper.  $30.00 plus $10.00 S & H. The painting has been varnished for further enhancement and protection.  Also, it is matted and ready for framing in an
8 x 10 inch frame.

Green Apples and Peaches

Hi everyone; it was so good to be back in the studio today.  I feel that this painting is a bit closer to the goal of both distorting and flattening the objects.  This acrylic is 8x8 inches and is on professional grade canvas panel.  It is varnished for further enhancement and protection.
