The impetus for this painting came from a magazine photo
that I transformed by my imagination and my need to produce a vivid, expressive
interpretation all my own.

Back to Back Sunflowers
I want to work on pushing my artwork to a more stylized, abstract rendering. I also want to do this with flowers and so you will be seeing a few paintings of sunflowers done until I am more satisfied. Thanks for looking.

White Handle Bowl with Clementines
You may wonder why I paint so many clementines. It's simple, since we like to eat them while they are in season, we always seem to have them available.
This is a 5x7 inch acrylic painted on canvas on hardboard. $40.00 plus $10 S & H. It has been varnished for additional protection and enhancement.

This layout was an accidental one. I was breaking down another set-up of which this was a part when I looked at it from a different angle and found another painting.

Turnips and Eggplant
It's been a week plus a day since I last posted. Last week was not at all productive in the studio. It seemed as if anything that I started was a loss. My artist friends, at our monthly get together, gave me encouragement, as well as, some good pointers. So today I started a new, with a better perspective and enjoyed my day working. The positive comments I have gotten on my DPW site really help and I thank everyone.

Nectarines on a Blue Striped Plate
The studio is now in much better shape now after three days of purging, cleaning and rearranging.I can actually walk through it without turning sideways. How can we accumulate so much in such a short time?
Here is a 5x7 inch acrylic done on canvas on hardboard. It has been varnished for further enhancement and protection.

Hydrangea #3
This little painting measures 7x5 inches and is painted in acrylics on canvas on hardboard. It has been varnished for additional protection and enhancement. $40.00 plus $10.00 S & H.
During this next week, I may not be posting much. This is because the disorder in my studio has reached maxium chaos. In some parts of it, I have to walk sideways to get past things. So it is time to clear out, add additional storage if possible and rearrange. I would like to be able to set-up my studio so that I can switch from acrylics to pastels without having to put one or the other away each time. Wish me luck.
I have some more daily paintings that I will put on my Daily Paintworks site so check there.

Lilies, Cherries, Grapes
This set up was in part of a larger piece that I did that I want to rework but I did like this part of the still life set-up so I repainted it in an attempt to work out some problems. It helped me to understand how Ican overwork a piece and ruin it.
