Green Grapes and Plums

There wasn't much opportunity for me to paint this week.  I did do a larger painting of gladiolas but still need to photograph it.  Today, there wasn't much time to paint so I did a small 5 x 7 inch of some grapes and plums in a bowl.  It's a simple composition but I liked the color contrast.

This painting is on gallery wrap canvas and the sides have been painted black so it can be displayed without framing.  It is finished with a coat of acrylic satin finish varnish for additional enhancement and protection.

Thanks for looking.

Only Three Slices

Finally made it back; please excuse my absence as I took some time off due to having quests, travel and care giving.  But I hope to be back in the studio this week doing what I am meant to do-paint.

It's been a great Thanksgiving; time in the studio then off to a relative's for a very fine meal.  There's so much to be grateful for.

Mason Jar Flowers

This painting came about in two ways.  The flowers in a mason jar, table top and background came from a photo that I took while eating at a very nice café called Ike and Jane's.  I felt it needed something to balance it to the left and my imagination added the plate and apple.

This painting has been varnished for additional enhancement and protection.

Sunflowers and Apples - #1

This painting is from a photo of some very large sunflowers that a friend sent to me; I, in turn, place them in a tablescape.  I am working on learning how I want to paint various flowers.  So, for now, I will be working on the sunflower.

A 5x7 inch acrylic on 300 lb. watercolor paper.  $30.00 plus $10.00 S & H. The painting has been varnished for further enhancement and protection.  Also, it is matted and ready for framing in an
8 x 10 inch frame.

Thanks for looking.

White Handle Bowl with Clementines

You may wonder why I paint so many clementines. It's simple, since we like to eat them while they are in season, we always seem to have them available.

This is a 5x7 inch acrylic painted on canvas on hardboard.  $40.00 plus $10 S & H. It has been varnished for additional protection and enhancement.

Thanks for looking.

Nectarines on a Blue Striped Plate

The studio is now in much better shape now after three days of purging, cleaning and rearranging.I can actually walk through it without turning sideways.  How can we accumulate so much in such a short time?

Here is a 5x7 inch acrylic done on canvas on hardboard. It has been varnished for further enhancement and protection.

Breakfast Fruit

I apologize for not posting recently.  I have been involved in working on some larger pieces and when I am satisfied with them I'll post them to the blog and to Daily Paintworks.  I think that I'll do another using the same motif of breakfast fruit; maybe even as many pieces as the fruit will allow.  This 5x7 inch acrylic is painted on gessoed hardboard and is varnished. It can be purchased for $40.00 through my Daily Paintworks site.
