A Pear with Clementines

An original 5 x 7  inch, expressive, colorist, still life painting done in a contemporary style with professional grade acrylic paint . It is painted on linen on a hardboard panel. As an under painting, the surface was textured with the remaining acrylic paints left from a previous day's painting session.  Some of the colors may show through adding more interest.  It has been finished with a satin acrylic varnish.

Two Pears and Clementines

There's plenty of clementine on hand right now so they got to be my models along with a couple of pears.

Copper and Clementines

I found what I believe is a cake plate made out of "faux copper" at a local thrift store.  It is bent and a little worse for wear but still has a personality I couldn't pass up.

The painting will be varnished for additional enhancement and protection.

Clementines and Sunflower #2

A 6x9 inch acrylic on 300 lb. watercolor paper.  It is matted and ready for framing in a 9x12 frame. It has been varnished for further enhancement and protection.

You may wonder why I paint so many clementines. It's simple, since we like to eat them while they are in season, we always seem to have them available.
