Here's another example of a mixed media painting. Thanks for looking.

Lemons on Pink
It's been a while since my last post; lately I have again been going through a slump-nothing I've done has pleased me. This little one I did at the today finally had the element of fun and spontaneity that I want.
An original, 7 x 5 inch, expressive, colorist, still life painting done in a contemporary style with professional grade acrylic paint . As an under painting, the surface was textured with the remaining acrylic paints left from a previous day's painting session. Some of the colors may show through adding more interest. This particular painting was done on 300 lb. watercolor paper. It has been finished with a satin acrylic varnish.
This painting is being sold with or without a matt. The cost for matt and backing, ready for framing is $40; without a matt, the cost is $25. Let me know what your preference is via email.

A Fig and Two Red Pears
This is the first day I have been able to get back into the studio since my last post. This oil pastel is 4x6 inches and is done on 300# watercolor paper. The image shown is approximate to what would show with a mat.
My foot continues to heal though I may still have to have surgery. Hope that that doesn't have to happen!

Support #1
As mentioned in a previous blog, I can overwork my paintings so I've decided to set a definite time for painting each of my daily paintings. On the larger or more complex pieces, I am going to try to also follow that idea by working for a short period of time on each piece each day until a painting is complete. I'll let you know how this approach works.
This 6x9 inch acrylic is matted to fit a 9x12 standard size frame. The mat reduces the viewable size to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches.
Thanks for looking.

Which one leads?
I haven't posted smaller paintings recently but have added some to my gallery on the Daily Paintworks site. Please see them on that website. I'm working also on some larger pieces so I don't always get a smaller daily painting completed. This painting is matted and ready for framing in a 12 x 9 inch frame. Thanks for taking a look.
