Hi Everyone,
It has really been awhile since I posted but you can see I'm making a bit of a change. I have wanted to play even more with my art and I discovered mixed media art journals and then ICADs. I came across the latter recently and am have fun just experimenting. I'm not doing the challenges found on Daisyyellow.com as I was late for that but for now, I will work on just learning new techniques, experiment and have fun.
Yes, the ICADs are done on index cards which I will do too but I really like repurposing all that junk mail we get. (I will keep the size 6x4inches.) This is the first done on junk mail. I finger painted it first with acrylic paints to block out the printing, added stamping and fussy cut some napkins which I adhered with acrylic medium, did some doodling and added a stamped saying.
Thanks for looking.

A Simple Apple
Hi everyone,
I have not posted in two works due to not being happy with what I had painted and being a Klutz. I had worked out what I needed to change in a couple paintings thanks to my art buddies but before I could get back into the studio, being a Klutz got in my way. I twisted my foot but continued to walk on it. Four days later, I went to my doctor and found out I had broken a bone in my foot. So for now I'm in a splint and tomorrow, Thursday, I go back to see if I get a cast, boot or have to have surgery.
Painting in acrylics, I felt, would be too hard physically to do but I had been wanting to try oil pastels again (my earlier attempts hadn't been successful). Luckily, earlier this summer, I had rearranged my studio and they were very easy to set up. The only thing I have to do after painting is to wash my hands.
This is the first one I did this morning, a 6x4 inch on 140# water color paper. I had done an acrylic painting on it earlier which wasn't successful so I painted over it. This view shows it cropped as it would look when matted. (The mat is not included). Hope you like it and thanks for looking.
