Lake Lanier Shoreline

Once again, I got to spend a lovely morning along the shore of beautiful Lake Lanier.  There still isn't much fall color, just a hint, but we know it will be glorious in about two weeks.  I like how the Georgia red clay competes with the foliage.  My plein air class is now over and I had a great experience and learned a lot (thanks, Patricia!). She showed us how to keep the process simple and comfortable which had been such a road block for me.

I will be taking a computer marketing class for artists with her starting tomorrow for four weeks, one day a week.  To all of you who have been urging me to get more computer smart (you know who you are), I heard your suggestions and hope to be "with it" soon.  I appreciate your prods as I need those often.

Its been a while since I blogged last, but Hubby had knee surgery last week and that changed the schedule around here if you fellow care givers know what I mean.  But I sincerely am trying to be consistent with my painting as it is such a wonderful "happy pill" for me.

Thanks for looking!

Flowering Cherry

This painting is from a photo I took last spring in the GA State Botanical Garden located in my town.  There are many hiking trails in the garden and this view is actually a "meadow" created by a large power easement that runs through the park.  Beauty can happen anywhere even in a power easement.

Farm Road, Peach Orchard

I'll admit it-landscapes intimidate me.  But I decided I needed to get over it and so here you see a new attempt.  This is from a photo I took several years ago at Thomas Orchards not far from where I live.  Now this orchard has been abandoned.

Tulips and Field

It has been several days since I have posted on my blog and I apologize.  Its this time of year and something had to give but I had painted a bit ahead.

The landscape just kind of happened as I painted the still life. This acrylic is 8x8 inches, painted on canvas board.  The price is $40.00 plus $10.00 shipping and handling.  It is varnished.
