Camellias

This little painting is my abstracted idea of one of the most beautiful flowers to me.  I never had any luck in growing them but maybe painting them will make up for that lack.  Painting mixed media has been very relaxing for me, not easy, but fun.  Sometimes, at night, I have a hard time falling asleep because my brain is whirling with possibilities and I can't wait until I am back in my tiny studio.

Roses (Yellow)

These roses were such a bright yellow; the bouquet was at one of our local art centers.

Hyacinths - pink

Though I have never grown these flowers, I get excited when I see them blooming in other yards because I know spring won't be too far away.

Gladiolas

Gladiolas have always been a favorite flower but I've always been intimidated to grow them.
