Red with Blue
Another long time since I posted; no good excuses. This painting is mixed media (acrylic and oil pastels) on a prepared hardboard. It uses both negative and positive painting techniques. Thanks for looking.

Gaiety
Wow-it has been some time since I last posted. Throw in a vacation and working on a new approach to my painting and I've not wanted to post anything. Here is a mixed media (acrylic, acrylic ink, collage and oil pastel) that pleases me. Hope you enjoy it.

Bountiful
The inspiration for this bouquet was one that the church's altar guild graced the church with recently.
An original 10 x 8 inch, expressive, colorist, still life painting done in a contemporary style with professional grade acrylic paint . As an under painting, the surface was textured with the remaining acrylic paints left from a previous day's painting session. Some of the colors may show through adding more interest. It has been finished with a satin acrylic varnish.

Flowers in the Bright Sun
This is painted from a photo of flowers that I grew once upon a time in a previous garden. The photo is over a dozen years old and I finally decided how to use it. I had to change the table surface and outdoor background-that's the freedom of painting.
The painting was in a show that I had last month in a local coffee shop so I can sell it to you framed in a beautiful gold plein air frame for $150 of unframed for $100. Just contact me via the BlogSpot or Daily Paintworks. It has a final finish of satin acrylic varnish.
