Tulips and a Lemon
Today, was a good day in the studio, but then any day in the studio is a good day. I was very happy to be back there. Tulips are some of my favorite flowers so I need to paint even more of them. Thanks for looking.

Red Tulips
Finally back in the studio-phew. An artist, whose work I respect a lot, commented on my work. She suggested that I do larger work and that is something I have wanted to do for awhile. So I am going to be doing that more but also still attempting to do the smaller daily paintings. This piece is actually a study of some tulips that will be in a table scape that I started today.
The artist's name is Mary Porter and you can see her work on her web site.

Tulips against Yellow
I am working on having my paintings more abstract with looser brush strokes. It is all part of how I have wanted to develop and change. I've not painted with acrylic for many years and am having to learn which techniques work best for me. I'm finding it hard to shift gears so if anyone has suggestions, I'd appreciate your sharing.
This painting has been varnished, matted and is ready for framing in an 10 x 8 inch frame.
