About Me

My photo
Dolores Holt
In the third grade, I decided to be an artist-just like that. Since that time, art has been a big part of my life. I received a BFA degree from the University of GA. Eventually I landed a job where I received training in cartographic drafting, scientific illustrating and graphic design. These skills have taken me through my work life. Now that I am retired, my goal is to become the artist I have always wanted to be. My original paintings in acrylic are full of color, made with expressive, painterly strokes that chronicle the simple, every day world around me. The beauty of the ordinary enchants me and begs me to bring attention to it. I have work on display at the Lyndon House Art Center in Athens, GA.
